Rob's New CD Release!

Hey everyone! If you get the chance, you should check out the music to my husband's band's new album! It is their first opportunity to work with a proffessional studio and they poured many many hours of hard work to make it sound amazing. It really does blow their demo out of the water. I am so proud of it so I just had to share with you all. http://www.overkastmusic.com/., or www.myspace.com/overkastmusic Oh and by the way, my favs are "Complete" (he wrote it for me...the sweet guy), and "Engraved". Let me know what you think!

(I am attaching the artwork I designed for their album just for fun!)

Christmas Day Approaching and Fun Moments of the Season

This week has been another snow filled week! We have pretty much been snowed in all week! It was very fun to play in the snow and go for winter wonderland walks, but being couped up in the house is getting very old. Especially for someone as social and active as we are! All the week's events were cancelled, except Rob and I were still blessed with the opportunity to have our first date without the baby. My parents came to watch Jaxon, and we just roamed around the mall and had dinner out. It was very nice, but we found ourselves constantly wondering how the baby was doing, and ended up coming home early because we missed him so much!
We are hoping that we can get out to enjoy the holiday with the family...weather permitting. It is such a blessing to celebrate our Lord's birth with our little Jaxon this year. Last year at this time, we had only hoped we would have a little one on the way soon! Now we cannot imagine another holiday without him! He brings such joy to our lives.
Along with this, you will find a few of our precious moments during these wintery days. May the Lord bless you and keep you this very Merry Christmas!

Our sweet boy...
Snuggling after naps with Daddy is the best!

I went to get him up from his nap, and he had his hand in his pocket!

Jaxon is fascinated with this whole texting thing!

Smiles and Snow Days

Things have been CRAZY around the Harris household! Between moving and the holidays, there has been hardly a moment to breathe let alone blog. We have finally gotten settled into our little home. It has taken more than 2 weeks to get everything in place...we just put the last of the boxes away yesterday! We absolutely love it here and are so thankful for this place. It is an older home, so it has it's "quirks", but we choose to think of it as "character". It was very hectic moving with an infant, but thanks to lots of help we were able to get it done rather quickly! Jaxon and the kitties have settled in nicely.

Jaxon is 11 weeks tomorrow and is weighing in at 12 lbs and 25 inches long!!! He is sporting his best smiles and coos. He has so much to say these days and has also been blessing his father and I with 9 hours of sleep at night! Who knows if it will last, but we are enjoying it while we can. Jaxon also had his first encounter with snow! It has snowed several inches this week, and we bundled him up in his snowsuit and took him out! He was bright eyed and seemed fascinated with it all.

Rob is starting a new job this next week with Verizon, and his band OverKast is coming out with their first proffessional full length album next month! It sounds AMAZING and I am so proud of all the hard work he put into it.

I am staying busy with the baby and working on several photoshoots this month. I am also starting to study to become a personal trainer within the next year.

We are excited to spend our first Christmas with our little boy! What a year of blessings it has been!

Jaxon Talks & Rolls Over

Here are a few videos of Jaxon's latest tricks! =)

Changes...changes!

It has been so long since I have updated this, and so much has happened since I posted last! We have been busy busy, but I am trying to make a goal of updating this atleast once a week from here on out. I want to be able to remember these days and capture all that is happening since life is flying by so incredibly quickly! There are so many moments to cherish and I want to take a "snapshot" of these days so that later on I can go back and see all that God has done.

It is amazing how much Jaxon is changing. He is only 7 weeks, but it seems like every week he is growing like a weed and changing so much. I am in Heaven each moment I spend with this little angel. I am almost emotional at the fact that he is growing so fast and I know it is only going to go faster. A part of me wants him to stay this age forever, while another part of me is so excited to see him grow up. Jaxon is really starting to get fun now. He rolled over for the first time this week and is talking up a storm! His smiles light up any room, and his giggles crack me up! I must say that Daddy gets the biggest smile. I can't tell you how much I love seeing the bond between my husband and my son. They have something so special and I absolutely adore it! It seems my husband is growing just as much as Jaxon is! =)

On a different note, we are going to be moving into a house in north Everett...get this...next week! (Yes, that is Thanksgiving weekend!) We are so excited to finally be in a house! It is adorable and has a huge yard for Jaxon. It was totally a God thing! I am stressing a little, since I am not nearly close to being done packing everything. Pray that this transition goes smoothly. We are so blessed! I will show pics later.

I am behind on posting pics, so here are a few of my favs from the last few weeks! Enjoy!

Paranoid Mama

I LOVE being a mommy. I never knew I could love anyone this much! Everything he does I am in love with...even when he is dead set on being attached to his source of food 24-7 and cries loudly while being changed several times a day... (His mommy loves to torture him with trying on new outfits). Even though I am completely sleep deprived and can't remember who I am, I wouldn't change it for the world. It is life changing knowing my husband and I are completely responsible for this little life and he is dependent on us for everything. Gone are the self-centered days. How precious a gift it is...but stress inducing for a new mom. I am an anxious person in general, but nothing compared to my protection for this little one. Every little thing, I question. In the hospital, they kept us an extra night because his temp ran low. When we got home I was constantly checking his temp to make sure he was ok. The first few days I was obsessed with making sure he had the accounted for "dirty diapers" to make sure he was getting enough food. This morning I noticed a little rash on his arms and I immediately called the dr. to make sure he didn't have some illness. I think the dr. thought I was crazy and seemed a little annoyed that I paged them for such a "silly" question. Then there is a little bump on his head that concerns me, not to mention checking on him 500 times a night to make sure he is breathing...it never ends! There is always something to worry about. In the end, his life is in God's hands and all I can do is be the best mom I can be and give the rest to Him. It is hard to let go of something I love and care about so much, but worrying will only keep me from enjoying each day with him. I won't ever get these beginning days back, and I know that Satan would like nothing more than to keep me distracted with fear to steal my joy. I am thankful for a beautiful healthy little boy...and best yet, the God of universe loves him infinitely more than I do. I can trust Him with Jaxon's life.

Above are some pictures of Jaxon that my sister took the other day. Thanks Amy!

Jaxon...one week old

Here is Jaxon on his 1 week birthday! So in love with this little man!

Our Little Jaxon is here!

Jaxon David Harris was born on October 2nd, 2008 at 12:43 pm.
He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long.
It was a 24 hour + labor and was definitely exhausting but I wouldn't change it for the world. I have to say it was probably the best day of our lives. I have never seen my husband smile so big and be so happy. We are so in love with this precious gift from God. We are so blessed and thankful.

Now a week later, Jaxon is such a sweet baby. I never thought that Rob and I could make a mellow baby, but he totally is! It has been a very busy week getting adjusted to a newborn in our house. It is quite the adventure. The moment we think we got things down, something else pops up to readjust to. I never knew you could love someone this much...

We are so thankful for this little gift and a new cousin and buddy for Jaxon!
Congratulations Matt & Adelle! We love you!

Maternity Photos

It's been quite some time since I've written. Things have been very busy around here and not much slowing down for the Harris family! I am 39 weeks and only 5 days until my due date. I have had one false alarm so far! I am 1+ cm. dialated 50% effaced...(is that how it's spelled?). The baby is low but no action or many changes over this week. We were really excited last week thinking he would be here any day, but now I am beginning to think I will be pregnant forever! We can't wait to meet our little boy!

I am continuing to work as I am training my replacement at Northshore Christian Church, but am hoping to be done next week. When I am not working, I am busy "nesting" and preparing for the arrival. Bags packed, car seat in the car!

Rob is doing well at his new job and has been busy in the evenings recording an album for his band OverKast this month.

My sister Amy took some maternity photos for Rob and I last week...(Thanks Sis!). Above are a few of our favs!

Baby Shower!

I had one of my baby showers this last Sunday and it went so well. It was actually a double shower for Adelle and I. Adelle is my sister-in-law who is due two weeks before me! I was so blessed to have so many relatives and friends come from even out of town! Rebekah and Karlie came from Oregon to stay the weekend and we had SO MUCH FUN! I have missed them so much since I moved here. We had a great girls weekend...being goofy, pampering each other, and just doing what girls do best...laughing a lot! Adelle and I both recieved the wonderful gifts and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful and friends and families in my life! Better yet, I am so overwhelmed and thankful that Jaxon has so many people in his life already who love him so much! I am posting some of the pics so you get to see how big my belly is getting these days...it's seriously crazy how much your body changes in only 9 short months! I can't believe I have only 6 weeks left!
